The Portland State University Library migrated to ExLibris in 2014, along with 37 other libraries in our consortium. One year later, the PSU Library decided to move course reserves processing from Docutek ERes to Alma. Our course reserves service is heavily used and we process hundreds of print and electronic materials each term. We took the opportunity to rethink our course reserve service and changed everything from loan periods to work flows. We also harnessed Primo to make our course reserve materials more discoverable and incorporated course reserves materials in the course shells of our learning management system, Desire2Learn (D2L). In this presentation I will discuss the challenges we faced in moving to a new platform for course reserves processing. I will also offer tips and best practices for course reserves processing in Alma.
