I work at UQAM - the Université du Québec à Montréal - in the library systems department and provide support for applications such as Primo and Aleph. I also work with MediaWiki, Omeka, and other open source software. Recently the academic institutions in the province of Quebec have implemented a Scholars Portal supported Dataverse and I act as the primary contact for that project for my institution.
I am a newly minted member of the Canada-wide Dataverse North working group on policy and so I am interested in policy issues for consortia. As the technical lead for Dataverse, I am interested in all aspects of development, customization, and as Tania puts it, methods and practices for explaining complicated information to people.
I am new to Dataverse and Research Data in general but eager to learn. This is my first time attending this community meeting.
